Hi everyone,

I just posted a Quicktime interview with Peter Greenaway on SubmarineChannel.
http://www.submarinechannel.com/interviews

Some quotes:
About his Russian fame: "I was in Moscou about three years ago and I had a taxi driver in the streets of Moscou actually quoting the dialogue from the Cook the Thief His Wife and Her Lover".

About cinema:
"the characterstics of tape have freed us from all those hidden invisible tyrannies of celluloid"

and my favorite:
"History is an unknown country. You can't visit it."

Hope you like...

very interesting interview. i totally forgot about tulse calling himself a clark.

greenaway explains that the job of a clark: colelcting and ordering information is actually the same as an artist: [they are both] "rearranging the facts of the universe" i think greenaway mentioned in his explanation.

it adds something to the tulse character that i had totally overlooked. he presents himself as a simple man, but when you follow him for a while you know better. i think it's that characteristic that makes him so enjoyable to watch: you know theres always something more, but he doesn't always reveal it(but everytime you hope he does).
