I must be missing something obvious here... I try to stop all the 3 layers of the movie at the same place, so the layers fit together to a picture. But I get the message "First find the right speed and stop the middle image". I also have tried to fit the layers together in speed, but get the same message... Does anyone have some help to give? Find the right speed. In that speed, the movie is going in real time and you can't see the frames moving (e.g. the layer is "stopped"). _______ All good people are asleep and dreaming. |

What do you mean not can't see the frames moving. Like can't see a break between the black line or can't see the black lines or can't see a break between the pictures, And shouldn't you line it up before you speed it up?

Frames not moving = the black line between the frames is not moving.

I really don't understand what to do with the middle image. I can get the top and bottom to go at the right speed but the what am I supposed to do with the middle one?

Not sure what I am doing on this one. Does it let you know when you have found the correct speed? And then what?

Is there a way to get all 3 layers moving at the same time from a dead stop? If you can't, keeping them all lined up is going to be something of a nightmare. |

Lining them up initially seems to be the easy part. I just wait until I get the exact moment when the lightbulb hits, there's a one frame flash of light that fills up the entire frame. But there doesn't seem to be any way to increase the speed of the film without screwing all 3 layers up. And then I run out of time, and then I "loose".

Ok, ok. Now I got it. I was trying to just use the arrows at the side, but really you have to use the slidebar. Start with the middle layer. Get it up to speed, the slidebar should be just to the left of the middle. You'll know you're at the right speed, because you'll be able to slow the frame line to a stop using the arrows to fine tune. Once you have the middle layer settled, continue with either the top or the bottom. Get the layer up to speed. It'll be a little out of whack at first, and you can use the submit button to find out if the layer you're working on is early or late. If it is early adjust the frame towards the left, and if it's late adjust the frame towards the right. When it's just right, and the frame is reasonably lined up, work on the remaining layer. Just keep at it until you get a feel for it. Once you get the basic logic of the puzzle, the rest is just practice. |
